G-TOUR 24
In September, we were proud to support and sponsor our new client GLP’s G-Tour 24 charity event. We provided a donation and six Winvic team members joined in the challenge, three completed the 30 and 55-mile charity bike ride and three a 5-mile walk. The event began at Rutland Showground and featured scenic routes around the beautiful Rutland Water. Thanks for the collective efforts of everyone who took part, a grand total of £30,000 was raised to support four charities: Mind, Parkinson’s UK, Dementia UK and LandAid.
SUPPORTING THE 15TH ANNUAL PROLOGIS 100 FUNDRAISER
We supported our client Prologis’ annual cycling fundraiser in September. As well as Winvic being one of the event’s hero sponsors which saw our logo proudly displayed on the cycle jersey, four of our team members joined Prologis UK employees, partners and friends in the Oxfordshire countryside. We want to wish a huge congratulations to Dave Smith who cycled 100 miles and Chris Allsopp, Graham Furie and Matt Emery who completed the 100km target, helping Prologis to raise more than £50,000 for their chosen charities LandAid, Molly Ollys and Vasculitis UK. This brings the total raised over 15 years to an incredible £500,000!
SHATTERING EXPECTATIONS AT GLASS HOUSE
In June, we celebrated reaching the highest-level – 19-storeys – of a residential project in the Redcliff Quarter of Bristol, called Glass House, with client Grainger plc. When complete in July 2025, it will contain 374 BTR homes, 94 affordable homes, 5,900 sq ft of internal residents’ amenities, 21,200 sq ft of external shared space, 8,500 sq ft of commercial space over six units.

RAIL FOR MAERSK IN THE MIDLANDS
In last year’s Winvic Word we talked about being back at SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway (SLPEMG) to undertake a 28,000 sq ft extension to the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI), which we also constructed and handed over in December 2023. This year we completed more works comprising a 613,542 sq ft Intermodal Terminal for Maersk, which features a seven-metre-high reinforced soil slope (RSS), to serve its dedicated container hub at the UK inland port; the East Midlands Gateway campus.
FIT OUT COMPLETED FOR THE RANGE
Following our successful delivery of a 1.2 million sq ft distribution centre for Jaynic, end user The Range contracted us to fit out the facility to CAT B standards which was handed over in November 2024 and is now fully operational. We constructed two mezzanine floors, installed extensive racking and refurbished the offices. The high-level mechanical and electrical fit out included a sprinkler system, IT, data and security systems, and lighting and plumbing and foul drainage upgrades were also undertaken. The workforce at Gateway 14 in Stowmarket benefit from commercial kitchen, servery and café and gym with changing facilities.

£46,100 RAISED ON NATIONAL FITNESS DAY We celebrated our commitment to making Winvic a happy, safe, healthy and inclusive place to work and our People Pillar group set the business a challenge for National Fitness Day. 60 members of our team maintained three pieces of cardio equipment running for 24 hours and raised a whopping £46,100 for our four chosen charities. Read more about the day on page 14.

WINVIC WARRIORS RAISE ALMOST £5K The Winvic Warriors – otherwise known as our Crown Place Birmingham Team – were as fierce in the water as they were with their sponsorship forms to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital Health Services. A total of 26 teams took part in the 200 metre Dragon Boat race at the Mailbox Birmingham canal in July. We are incredibly happy to announce that our team came fifth and raised £4,830 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, a vital centre providing advanced treatments and groundbreaking research for over 100,000 children and young people across the UK.

RUNNING FOR ST MODWEN’S CHARITY Three Winvic employees entered a team into the St Modwen Charity Run in September, and ran the 5km and 10km routes which took place in the newly-opened footpaths and cycle routes of the West Longbridge trail. We’re proud to have helped St Modwen raise a total of £55,384! Funds have been donated directly to LandAid, to be used to support Newark Emmaus Trust – LandAid’s current charity project in the Midlands.

HITTING THE FAIRWAY WITH CLIENTS We were lucky to have the sun with us on the Winvic Annual Golf Day in October and we’re pleased to report the competition between Winvic team members and clients stayed friendly. 80 of us played 18 holes at Market Harborough Golf Club and we ended the day with a delicious three-course meal and celebrated with awards for the top three players of the day, Julian Bradbury from Knight Webb Limited, Graham Todd from CPW and Warren Cull from Newlands.
